The Film Week Opening Ceremony is scheduled to take place at 7:00 PM on January 17, 2026, at the Bac Ninh Provincial Cultural and Exhibition Center. The documentary film "The Guardian of Heritage" and the feature film "Sound Across the Ocean" are the two films selected for screening at the Opening Ceremony.

The films selected for screening to the public are those that won the Golden Lotus and Silver Lotus awards at the 24th Vietnam Film Festival.

The Film Week is a cultural and cinematic activity with profound political and social significance, affirming the immense historical importance of the first General Election to elect the Vietnamese National Assembly – an event marking a crucial step in the development of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. It also celebrates the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam – a major political event for the country in its new development phase.

The Film Week not only enhances the effectiveness of political propaganda but also contributes to bringing Vietnamese cinema closer to social life, especially at the grassroots level.
