(BNP) - As of September 30, the whole province had more than 927 thousand people participating in compulsory social insurance, reaching 104.86% of the plan assigned by Vietnam Social Security, an increase of more than 107 thousand people (13.08%) over the same period in 2024.

The number of people participating in voluntary social insurance reached more than 91.1 thousand people, an increase of 19.71% over the same period. Unemployment insurance (UI) reached more than 892 thousand people, equivalent to 105.17% of the plan, while health insurance reached 3.28 million people, equivalent to 98.07% of the plan.
In September, total revenue of the whole industry reached over VND 2.6 trillion, cumulative revenue reached over VND 20.2 trillion, equaling to 77.1% of the yearly plan, increasing nearly 20% over the same period in 2024. Collection of compulsory social insurance, voluntary social insurance, unemployment insurance and health insurance all recorded positive growth. Debt collection continued to be promoted, the debt ratio of the whole province was 3.31% of the receivables, 0.5% lower than the plan assigned in the third quarter of 2025.
During the month, the provincial Social Insurance Department processed 615 monthly benefit applications, more than 1,700 one-time benefit applications, and more than 33,300 short-term benefits. The number of unemployment benefits recipients was over 11,000, an increase of more than 1,000 compared to the previous month.
Regarding health insurance, 99 medical examination and treatment facilities in the area have signed health insurance contracts with the Social Insurance agency. In September, there were more than 569 thousand health insurance examination and treatment visits, with a total proposed payment cost of more than VND 345 billion, an increase of 11.9% over the same period last year. The Provincial Social Insurance also approved 88 direct payment records, ensuring legitimate rights for the people.
During the month, over 542 thousand records were received, the rate of electronic transaction records reached 97.8% of the total number of records received.
