(BNP) - On the evening of December 5, at the Central Square of Chu Ward, the Ministry of Industry and Trade in coordination with the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province solemnly held the opening ceremony of the Bac Ninh Fruit Festival 2025 with the theme "Bac Ninh Fruits - Quintessence of Vietnamese Agricultural Products".

The 2025 Fruit Festival takes place from December 5 to December 10, 2025 at the Central Square of Chu Ward, Bac Ninh Province with many outstanding new features. For the first time, the exhibition space is designed in an open, modern direction, combining projection technology and visual experiences to honor the natural beauty of Bac Ninh fruits. The scale of the festival is expanded with the participation of nearly 200 booths from businesses, cooperatives, and gardeners inside and outside the province. Commercial activities are promoted through livestream sales, online connections with e-commerce platforms; the participation of KOLs, KOCs and digital content creators, creating a strong media spread for local agricultural products.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman Pham Van Thinh said that the Bac Ninh Fruit Festival 2025 has great significance, affirming a development vision, taking agriculture as a green pillar in the development strategy of the new Bac Ninh province. The whole province currently has nearly 54,000 hectares of fruit trees, of which more than 8,600 hectares are citrus trees; the output reaches over 80,000 tons, worth about VND 1,800 billion.
The area of oranges meeting VietGAP standards is more than 1,700 hectares; the area of grapefruit meeting VietGAP standards is more than 3,700 hectares. More than 780 OCOP products present in the market are vivid evidence of the continuous efforts of localities, businesses and farmers in enhancing the value of agricultural products in the province.
This year's festival is large-scale, with nearly 200 booths displaying typical products, combining promotional activities, trade, agricultural tourism experiences, and applying digital technology in introducing and consuming products. This is a new approach, demonstrating the province's determination to support farmers, cooperatives and businesses to expand markets and increase the value of agricultural products.
He acknowledged and thanked the coordination of the Central Ministries and branches; localities in the region; businesses, cooperatives, garden artisans; and the response of the people for creating a solemn, modern, and unique festival.
In the joyful atmosphere of the fruit season, the Vice Chairman solemnly announced the opening of the Bac Ninh Fruit Festival 2025, and wished the delegates, people and tourists a rich and meaningful experience at the Festival.
