(BNP) - On the afternoon of August 15, at the Provincial Conference Center, the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee held an investment promotion conference, presented the Decision on approving investment policies, Decision on selecting investors, Investment registration certificates for major projects, and started construction of the Social Housing Project for workers.

Attending the conference on the Central side were Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh along with leaders of a number of ministries and central agencies.
On the side of Bac Ninh province were Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Gau; Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Thi Huong; Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Viet Oanh; Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vuong Quoc Tuan.

At the conference, the provincial leaders awarded new investment registration certificates to 9 FDI enterprises and 7 domestic enterprises. They also presented capital increase adjustment certificates to 9 FDI enterprises and handed over 7 decisions approving investment policies and 12 decisions selecting investors for projects located outside industrial parks.
The total capital attracted reached USD 5.848 billion for domestic projects and USD 1.1 billion for FDI projects. In addition, 2 enterprises committed to increase capital by USD 300 million. The total new and expanded investment capital reached USD 7.24 billion.

At the conference, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh and delegates performed the groundbreaking ceremony for the Dinh Tram Industrial Park Workers Housing Project. Up to now, 71 projects are being implemented in the province, with a scale of 255 hectares of land, about 102,000 apartments.

The official groundbreaking of Dinh Tram Industrial Park Workers' Housing Project is of great significance, contributing to the realization of the Prime Minister's assigned goal of completing 135,000 social housing apartments by 2030, promoting the province's socio-economic development as well as realizing the dream of "settling down" for hundreds of worker households and low-income people.
At the conference, representatives from domestic and foreign enterprises expressed their expectations for the investment environment in Vietnam. At the same time, they recommended that the government continue to improve infrastructure, simplify administrative procedures, stabilize preferential policies and promote the development of supporting industries to facilitate production and business activities, meet the requirements of green transformation and integration into the global value chain.

Speaking at the conference, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh emphasized that Bac Ninh is currently a bright spot in attracting investment nationwide; investors choosing Bac Ninh is the right decision.
He congratulated the enterprises that were awarded investment certificates at today's conference, and also praised the comprehensive achievements that Bac Ninh province has achieved in recent times.
He mentioned projects that are about to start construction such as Gia Binh airport and the road connecting Hanoi to Gia Binh airport - strategic infrastructure projects that will create breakthroughs, helping Bac Ninh accelerate its development even more strongly.
The Permanent Deputy Prime Minister acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts of the Bac Ninh provincial government in accompanying businesses, building a friendly and open investment environment, always listening and promptly removing difficulties for investors. Therefore, he suggested that the province should continue to maintain that spirit to create momentum for sustainable growth in the coming time.
The Permanent Deputy Prime Minister suggested that Bac Ninh province focus on preparing and successfully organizing Party Congresses at all levels, especially the Bac Ninh Provincial Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term.
The Permanent Deputy Prime Minister further stated that while fostering industrialization and modernization, the province needs to pay synchronous attention to social issues, ensuring sustainable and harmonious development. With its existing advantages and rapid development, he believed that Bac Ninh province had the basis to become a centrally-run city in the coming years.

Tuan affirmed that Bac Ninh province is determined to firmly maintain its leading position nationwide in industrial production and preserve its standing as the second-highest province in terms of export value.
To successfully implement the goals of the socio-economic development plan for 2025 and the entire 2025-2030 term, the provincial leaders committed to effectively implementing the Politburo's "Quartet" Resolution; focusing on perfecting mechanisms and policies; promoting comprehensive digital transformation in all fields; upgrading technical infrastructure and industrial infrastructure; creating an open investment environment, attracting green industry, smart industry, and high-tech projects; promoting the development of high-quality human resources to meet the requirements of economic integration and transformation; focusing resources on completing the goals of social housing development, ensuring social security for workers; taking care of social security policies, improving the quality of life of the people, etc.
