(BNP) - On the morning of April 1st, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Hoang Son conducted a field inspection at Kep railway station to determine the strategic direction for the area's spatial development.

Kep railway station is an important railway station on the Hanoi - Dong Dang line, with a strategic location that facilitates interregional connectivity. It has been authorized to organize international intermodal transport since 2022, creating favorable conditions for developing import and export freight transportation by rail.
During the period 2023-2025, the station's production and business activities recorded significant growth, gradually affirming its role in the regional logistics chain. In the coming period, Kep railway station is planned to gradually become into a large-scale railway logistics center, playing a key role in the Northern regional supply chain and a key gateway for international trade connectivity.

Based on a field survey, Chairman Pham Hoang Son comprehensively assessed the potential and advantages of Kep Station in connecting inter-regional and international transport.
The Chairman requested the Department of Construction to take the lead and closely coordinate with the local authorities to urgently research and develop a comprehensive master plan for the Kep railway station area with a long-term vision and innovative thinking. He emphasized that the plan must ensure the synchronization of technical and logistics infrastructure, maximize the exploitation of development potential, and expand the space. The goal is to create a modern logistics center with a strong ripple effect, playing a driving role in promoting socio-economic development of the locality and the region.
