(BNP) - As part of the Vietnam - Japan Local Cooperation Forum in Quang Ninh, on the afternoon of November 25, Vice Chairman of the Bac Ninh Provincial People's Committee attended and discussed at the Dialogue session with the theme "Vietnam - Japan Local Innovation: Intellectual Synergy, Enhancing Values, Creating the Digital Future".

Speaking at the Dialogue program, Vice Chairman Phan The Tuan emphasized that in the context of Vietnam - Japan relations being at their most brilliant stage of development, attending the Dialogue together and discussing the future of technology and innovation is an important step, in line with the stature of the comprehensive strategic partnership.
Bac Ninh province has now 126 FDI projects in effect from Japanese partners, with a total registered capital and contributed capital of USD 2.06 billion, ranking fifth out of 42 international partners. In addition, Bac Ninh received 04 ODA projects totaling USD 10.1 billion. Japanese projects have been and continue to be implemented successfully, creating secure jobs for tens of thousands of workers, contributing significantly to the local budget, and imparting knowledge in lean management, quality culture, and Kaizen spirit to Bac Ninh.

In the coming time, Bac Ninh will identify 6 key areas of cooperation with Japan: Cooperation in the field of digital transformation and AI application in Smart Factory; Cooperation in the field of semiconductor and high-tech materials industry; Cooperation in the field of 5G/6G mobile infrastructure development and applications to meet the urgent needs of large factories in deploying 5G private networks; Cooperation in the field of connecting and developing innovation ecosystems; cooperation in the field of high-quality human resource development; and Cooperation in the field of biotechnology applications.
