(BNP) – On the occasion of Easter 2026, on the afternoon of April 10, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Phan The Tuan led a provincial delegation to visit and extend congratulations to Bishop Do Quang Khang, Bac Ninh Bishopric.
Vice Chairman Phan The Tuan, along with leaders of departments and agencies present flowers to congratulate Bishop Đo Quang Khang, the priests, and all the parishioners of the Bac Ninh Bishopric.
During the visit, Vice Chairman Phan The Tuan extended his best wishes to Bishop Do Quang Khang, the priests, and all Catholic parishioners in the Bac Ninh Diocese for a healthy, peaceful, and happy Easter season.
Sharing updates on socio-economic development, the Vice Chairman noted that the province’s GRDP growth in the first quarter of 2026 was estimated at nearly 10%. Investment attraction remained a bright spot, while state budget revenue exceeded 30% of the annual estimate. Business and production activities have been largely stable, with signs of order recovery.
He also highlighted the successful organization of elections for the National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels, with voter turnout exceeding 99%, ensuring democracy, safety, and compliance with regulations, and demonstrating strong public consensus.
Looking ahead, the Vice Chairman expressed his hope that Bishop Do Quang Khang, along with priests and parishioners, would continue upholding the tradition of “living a good life and practicing a good faith,” working alongside Party committees and local authorities to implement policies and contribute to the province’s ongoing development. On this occasion, he also sincerely thanked the Bishop and Catholic dignitaries for their continued support and cooperation in fulfilling the province’s political tasks.
Bishop Do Quang Khang expressed his pleasure and honor in welcoming the provincial delegation and extended his gratitude for the attention and support provided by provincial leaders, departments, and local authorities to the Diocese’s activities in recent years.
He highly appreciated the province’s socio-economic achievements. Emphasizing the spirit of unity and consensus, he noted that when authorities and citizens work together, development goals can be achieved effectively and sustainably.
Reaffirming solidarity and a commitment to accompanying the nation, Bishop Do Quang Khang stated that the Bac Ninh Diocese will continue to closely coordinate with local authorities and actively contribute to the province’s overall development.
