4 Bac Ninh athletes participate in ASIAD 19

More than 12,500 athletes and over 5,000 officials from 45 countries and territories will attend the Congress. Athletes compete in 40 sports.

The Vietnamese Sports Delegation will attend ASIAD 19 with 504 members, including 337 athletes competing in 31/40 sports (202/483 contents of the Congress), striving to achieve from 2 to 5 Gold Medals in sepak takraw, shooting, Chinese chess, karate and boxing.

Bac Ninh sports had four athletes selected to compete for the Vietnamese sports delegation at ASIAD 19, including: Nguyen Van Duong (Boxing); Tran Thi Anh (Wrestling); and Trinh Van Vinh (Weightlifting). These are all exceptional Bac Ninh athletes who are expected to shine at this Congress, particularly boxer Nguyen Van Duong (Boxing), who got an official ticket to the 2020 TOKYO Olympics.

The 19th Asian Games is a major sporting event held every four years that is vital in building ties, solidarity, friendliness, and mutual understanding among countries, as well as an opportunity for sportsmen to showcase their skills and improve their athletic achievements.
