Duong Huc Village Temple - Temple of “Đức Thánh Cả” (The Great Saint)
(BNP) – Duong Huc village temple (Dai Dong commune, Tien Du district) is a religious center of the local people. It is a place to worship Thanh Chau Cong saint, a general in Hung King period, who had merit in defeating An invaders.

The temple currently is located in the Northwest of the village, 500m from the village communal house, 200m from the village pagoda. It is surrounded by residential areas and the inter village road.

According to the local people, the ancient temple was destroyed during the resistance war against French. In 1999, the local people restored the temple including 3-compartment “Tiền tế” and 1-compartment “Hậu cung” (Emperor’s Harem) with an architectural structure of Chinese “Dinh” letter.

The “Tiền tế” has a wooden load-bearing frame system consisting of 4 sets, which create 3 compartments.

The “Hậu cung” has 1 compartment with oval wooden frame.
The “Hoành phi” (Horizontal lacquered boards).
The temple has no festival. Its festival takes place on the same day as the village festival on February 6 in Lunar calendar. During festivals, there are only Saint sacrifice ceremony and incense offering at the temple.
Duong Huc village temple was ranked as a Provincial Relic, Decision No. 42/QD-UBND, dated January 18, 2011.
