96.7% of provincial population take part in insurance of all kinds

Since the beginning of September, the provincial social insurance has coordinated with the Department of Education and Training, colleges and universities in the province to guide schools in buying insurance for pupils and students; strengthen propaganda for the new insurance policy as well as organize dialogues with units and enterprises and so on.

By the end of September, there were 1,218.3 thousand people participating in insurance of all kinds, accounting for 96.7% of the province's population compared with the end of 2017 ( up 4.7% for the participants and 9.4% for proportion in comparison to the population). Among which, 1,214.8 thousand people participated in health insurance, the coverage rate reached 96.4% of the population and increased by 4.6% compared to the end of 2017; 386.9 thousand people contributed voluntary insurance, accounting for 58% of the working population and rose by 9.4% in comparison with the same period last year; 378.9 thousand people paid compulsory social insurance, accounting for 56.8% of the labor force and increased by 9%.

After 9 months, total cash from various insurance reached VND 5.751 billion, a year – on – year increase of 12.2%. Also in 9 months, the sector paid insurance money with total amount of VND3.291 billion, with an increase of 14% compared with the same period last year.
