Bac Ninh athlete wins gold medal at Seagames 29
(BNP) – According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, up to August 24th, Bac Ninh’s athletes won three medals including one gold medal and two bronze medals at Seagames 29.
Athlete Nguyen Van Nhat (rightmost) - who brought 2 medals to Vietnamese sport delegation at Seagames 29.
Joining the Vietnamese sport delegation at Seagames 29, three athletes of Bac Ninh province including Nguyen Van Nhat, Nguyen Thi Quyen and Nguyen Manh Cuong competed in Karatedo, Fencing and Boxing.
Athlete Nguyen Van Nhat (1996) competed in Kumite and won 2 medals (one gold medal and one bronze medal); Athlete Nguyên Thi Quyen (1996) won one bronze medal in Fencing.
The 29th Southeast Asian (SEA) Games taking place in Malaysia from August 11th to September 1st, 2017. Vietnamese sports delegation with 471 athletes participated in 32 categories and targeted 49-59 gold medals and a place among the top three countries in the overall medal tally. Until August 24th, the Delegation ranked the second with 38 gold medals, 25 silver medals and 32 bronze medals.
