Bac Ninh strives to rank in top 10-15 provinces, cities and sectors at 2030 National Sports Festival
(BNP) - The Provincial People’s Committee issued a Plan to implement Conclusion No. 70-KL/TW dated January 31, 2024 of the Politburo on developing physical training and sports in the new period in Bac Ninh province.

According to the Plan’s goal, by 2030, the number of people participating in regular exercise and sports will reach over 50% of the population. Every year, 16-21 high performance sports are trained, with about 450-550 athletes. They participate in national sports tournaments and win 350-400 medals of all kinds; they also participate in 10-15 international sports tournaments, and win 25-35 medals of all kinds. The province provides 30-50 athletes for national teams. It strives to win 16-20 gold medals, ranking in the top 10-15 provinces, cities and sectors nationwide at the 11th National Sports Festival in 2030; and have an Olympic medal in 2028.
To achieve the above goal, the province focuses on propagandizing, disseminating, thoroughly grasping, and implementing seriously and effectively guidelines and policies on physical education and sports. It also improves the quality and efficiency of state management in the development of physical education and sports. It further develops physical education, mass sports, high performance and professional sports.
In addition, Bac Ninh reviews, supplements and completes the planning and network of sports facilities, and cultural and sports institutions from the province to the grassroots with conditions to ensure synchronization and gradually modernization, meeting international standards. At the same time, it builds district and grassroots sports facilities with simple and convenient equipment for physical training that is suitable for many sports, meeting the needs of training, organizing sports activities, and serving the development of sports movements and training key sports talents.
The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism is the standing agency responsible for monitoring, urging and inspecting the implementation of the Plan. It needs to coordinate with National Sports Federations and Associations, units under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to propagandize and disseminate guiding documents on physical training and sports. At the same time, it cooperates to organize training courses to foster knowledge and professional skills in physical education and sports according to regulations for staff, coaches, teachers, and collaborators in agencies, units, schools, industrial parks, export processing zones, residential areas, and armed forces units.
