Bac Ninh wins high prizes at the national festival of hát tuồng (classical drama) for amature actors in 2018
(BNP) - Department for Cultural Affairs at grassroots (under Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) and Vietnam Association of Theater Artists in cooperation with Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee held the national festival of hát tuồng (classical drama) for amateur actors in 2018 in Quy Nhon city, Binh Dinh province in July 6-10, 2018.

During the national festival, there were 15 units with a total of 27 performances including a variety of kinds of tuồng: traditional, historical, and modern tuồng (classical drama). In particular, Bac Ninh province dispatched Dong Nguyen club and Tien Bao club joining this event.
At the end of the show, Dong Nguyen club won the gold medal with the performance of "Tình mẹ” (Love of Mother), meanwhile, Tien Bao club got the silver medal by the performance of "Dời đô” (The Transfer of the Capital).
In addition to awards to collectives, artists, artisans including Tran Thi Thu Huong, Hoang Ngoc Kim (Dong Nguyen club) and Dam Xuan Trung (Tien Bao club) won gold medals; Dam Duc Thu, Dam Quoc Oai and Dam Thi Hien (Tien Bao club) were awarded silver medals. Moreover, Dong Nguyen and Tien Bao clubs were honored to be awarded the Certificate of Merit by the Vietnam Association of Theater Artists.
