Chairman of Provincial People's Committee receives Cuban Minister of Labor and Social Welfare

Welcoming the delegation to Bac Ninh, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tu Quynh briefed guests on remarkable achievements of the province's socio-economic development over the past years. Thanks to a very favorable location, Bac Ninh is among provinces where have the fastest and strongest development of the country.

The Chairman emphasized that, along with economic development, the province always attaches great importance to social welfare, especially labor and employment, to ensure sustainable socio-economic development. With the policy of vocational training, job creation and investment attraction, Bac Ninh has almost no unemployed workers. Currently, there are many universities, colleges, intermediate schools, and vocational training institutions in the province to ensure the supply of quality labor for businesses. Every year, about 26 - 27 thousand laborers will be solved, of which about 25,000 jobs will be created at home, 1.8 thousand jobs will be exported; Average income per capita is the top in the country.

In addition, the province has implemented many measures to support job creation such as the approval of the Scheme on the planning of the system of employment services centers by 2020, contributing greatly to supporting employees and supplying labor in time for businesses, and improving workers' income.

For her part, Cuban Minister of Labor and Social Welfare Margarita M. González Femández expressed her gratitude to the provincial leaders for the warm welcome and appreciated the province's achievements in labor and employment over the past time.

Speaking of the situation of Cuba, she said, Cuba has always guaranteed the labor right, the right to free medical and educational services for all citizens. All employees are covered by the social welfare system, regardless of ownership or management. At the same time, Mrs. Margarita M. González Femández desired to have more opportunities for cooperation and exchange between the two countries in the field of labor and employment, especially contributing to effective and guaranteed employment solutions, promoting friendly relations between the two sides of Vietnam - Cuba.

After the meeting, the delegation of the Cuban Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare visited and worked at Viglacera Infrastructure Development and Investment Company, Tien Son Industrial Park.
