Friendship symbol handed over by Gyeongsangbuk-do province (Korea) to Bac Ninh province inaugurates

(BNP) - On November 29, an inauguration ceremony of the friendship symbol handed over by Gyeongsangbuk-do province (Korea) to Bac Ninh province took place at the International Friendship Park of Bac Ninh province.

Participants at the ceremony were Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the Provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies Nguyen Anh Tuan; Chairwoman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Huong Giang; Governor of Gyeongsangbuk-do province Lee Cheol Woo.

At the ceremony, Chairwoman Nguyen Huong Giang said that currently, some districts and cities of Bac Ninh province have signed cooperation agreements with Korean localities such as Daegu, Gumi, Busan, Bonghwa, and so on. In terms of economic cooperation, Korea ranks first among 40 countries and territories investing in Bac Ninh province with 966 projects and total investment capital of more than USD 14.5 billion, accounting for 60% of the province’s total foreign investment capital.

The ceremony showed the precious affection of Gyeongsangbuk-do province’s authority and people for Bac Ninh province’s authority and people. Giang hoped that this visit would promote further friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Korea as well as between Bac Ninh and Gyeongsangbuk-do provinces.

Mr. Lee Cheol Woo expressed his impression of Bac Ninh province’s outstanding development. At the same time, he sincerely thanked the provincial leaders for their attention and for creating favorable conditions for Korean enterprises including Gyeongsangbuk-do province.

He believed that the friendship and cooperation between the two localities would be tightened and developed. In the upcoming time, the relevant localities and units of Gyeongsangbuk-do province will coordinate and support Bac Ninh province effectively in the new rural construction program as well as promote traditional cultural values to the Korean, he highlighted.
