General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and Bac Ninh province
Bac Ninh - Kinh Bac has long been famous as a land rich in historical, cultural and revolutionary traditions. It is the northern fence of the capital Thang Long, Dong Do - Hanoi. It is also the birthplace of the Ly Dynasty - the dynasty that opened and developed Dai Viet civilization.
On January 19, 2012, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong offers incense and plants a souvenir tree at the memorial area of General Secretary Nguyen Van Cu in Phu Khe, Tu Son.
Currently, Bac Ninh has been developing into one of the major industrial centers of the country. During his lifetime, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong had a special affection for this land. In his position as General Secretary, Mr. Nguyen Phu Trong has returned to the province’s Party committee, authority and people five times.
The first time on the afternoon of January 19, 2012, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong offered incense to commemorate General Secretary Nguyen Van Cu in Phu Khe commune (now Phu Khe ward, Tu Son city) on the occasion of the 82nd anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the Lunar New Year celebration.
On August 22, 2013, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong inspects the implementation of the Resolution of the 11th Party Congress and the 4th Central Resolution (term XI) for the Party Committee of Bac Ninh province.
Also in 2012, on the morning of July 8, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong offered incense to the late General Secretary Nguyen Van Cu in Phu Khe and attended the 100th birthday anniversary of General Secretary Nguyen Van Cu organized by the Central Party Committee, Chairman of the National Assembly, the Government, the Central Fatherland Front Committee and the Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee in Bac Ninh province.
General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong together with the Politburo and the Party Central Committee focused on leading and directing strongly, decisively, resolutely and persistently in the work of building and rectifying the Party, preventing and fighting corruption and negativity to achieve practical results.

Returning to Bac Ninh on August 22, 2013, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and the Party Central Committee’s delegation inspected the implementation of the Resolution of the 11th Party Congress and the 4th Central Committee Resolution (term XI).

During his trip, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong spent his time visiting and inspecting actual operations at Samsung Electronics Vietnam Co., Ltd (Yen Phong I Industrial Park) and DABACO Group Joint Stock Company on production and business situation. He also visited Phuong Anh Kindergarten in Suoi Hoa ward, Bac Ninh city, and gave gifts to the students, as well as instructed the teachers to uphold their enthusiasm and responsibility to truly care and educate well the country’s future owners.
3 years later, on November 13, 2016, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong attended the Great National Solidarity Festival in Phat Tich village, Phat Tich commune, Tien Du district. He was surrounded by the exciting and joyful atmosphere of people from all social strata in this big festival and witnessed the increasing innovation and development in the lives of people here.
The most recent and also the last time that General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong returned to Bac Ninh was January 24, 2022. At that time, it was the occasion of Lunar New Year Nham Dan 2022. The joy at the outstanding achievements after 190 years of establishment and 25 years of re-establishing the province of the Party Committee, authority and people of Bac Ninh seemed to be multiplied when they were happy to welcome the Central delegation led by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong to visit, work and extend Tet greetings.

Do Temple (Dinh Bang ward, Tu Son city) is the first destination of the Central delegation when returning to Bac Ninh. In the sacred space where the Ly dynasty’s kings are worshiped, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and delegates respectfully offered incense to commemorate and expressed their gratitude to the ancestors.
General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong visited, heard the introduction of the process of making and printing Dong Ho folk paintings, and listened to Bac Ninh Quan Ho folk songs. He met and talked warmly to the people and the elderly in Dinh Bang ward, carefully advised and encouraged the artisans of Dong Ho painting village, actors and the young Quan Ho artists.

General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong was delighted that after each visit, Bac Ninh had positive changes and progress. When the province was first re-established, from a purely agricultural province, the infrastructure was difficult, the economy was small, and people's lives faced many difficulties. 25 years later, Bac Ninh has basically become a modern industrial province. With many important achievements creating a solid foundation for Bac Ninh to complete its industrialization and modernization goals, the numbers and data created during the challenge are once again affirmed throughout the development journey of the Bac Ninh’s land and people.
On January 24, 2022, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong returns Bac Ninh province to work and extends Tet greetings to the Party Committee and people.
Bac Ninh province is continuously innovating, constantly creative, and daring to think and do. It proactively seizes opportunities, and overcomes challenges to become one of the development poles in the Red River Delta. The province currently attracts 2,347 FDI projects from 41 countries and territories, totaling more than USD 27.673 billion. The export turnover ranks 2nd in the country and the poverty rate decreases to 0.75% with many indicators among the leading provinces and cities in the country. Bac Ninh also builds a strong Party and political system; strengthens order and discipline. The plans are implemented, resources are cleared, economic growth is restored. As a result, these results promote the cultural identity and people of Bac Ninh - Kinh Bac, meeting the requirements of sustainable development.
General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, a loyal communist soldier who devoted his life for the country and the people, has passed away, leaving a huge loss to our Party. In the infinite condolences of officials, party members and people nationwide, the Party Committee, authority and people of Bac Ninh forever cherish and engrave in mind the enthusiastic guiding opinions of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong to boost solidarity and comprehensively promote innovation, building Bac Ninh to develop sustainably in the direction of civilization, nation, and modernity.
