Le Xuyen Communal House, Dong Nguyen Ward

(BNP) - Le Xuyen communal house, Dong Nguyen ward, Tu Son city was built in the Le Dynasty in Canh Hung year 14 (1753) and was restored in the Nguyen Dynasty  on a regional scale. Some items have been destroyed by time and conflict. Currently, the Dai Dinh (Great Communal Hall) and Nghi Mon buildings are suspended.


Le Xuyen communal house is the place to worship Saint Tam Giang, who helped Trieu Quang Phuc defeat the invaders of the Luong Dynasty in the 6th century.


In front of the communal house is a green pond, creating a cool landscape for the relic.


The gate of the communal house was built in the past, and still remains intact…


Great Communal Hall consists of 3 compartments and 2 lean-tons.


Traditional curved roofs.


Hau Cung (Emperor’s Harem) consists of 1 compartment, decorated in the artistic style of the Le-Nguyen dynasties.


 


 

Le Xuyen Communal House still preserves many valuable documents and artifacts such as: incense altar, worshiping altar, set of super eight treasures, Horizontal lacquered board, parallel sentences, etc. under the Nguyen Dynasty.


To the right of the Great Communal Hall is the place to worship the Heroes and Martyrs.


The left side worships President Ho Chi Minh.


Communal house has 3 guest houses, where the villagers prepare for the ceremony.


With the Cultural House of Le Xuyen neighborhood.


 

Le Xuyen Communal House Festival is held from the 8th to the 10th of February (lunar calendar) every year to commemorate the merits of the ancestors who have contributed to the country and the people. The communal house is ranked as a provincial-level historical-cultural relic according to Decision No. 143/QD-CT dated January 29, 2003.
