PM Pham Minh Chinh sends message of congratulations to celebrate 50th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan
(BNP)- On September 21, 2023, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan (September 21, 1973 - September 21, 2023), Prime Minister (PM) Pham Minh Chinh sent a congratulatory message to his Japanese counterpart Kishida Fumi

In the message, PM Pham Minh Chinh affirmed that over the past 50 years, the cooperative and friendly relations between Vietnam and Japan have been growing robustly and comprehensively, with significant achievements. The two countries have become extremely important partners of each other, sharing numerous common strategic interests as well as always supporting each other effectively in the process of national construction and development.
Based on the achievements over the past 50 years, PM Chinh hoped that the two sides would continue nurturing their relationship in the spirit of "Sincerity, Trust, Substantiveness, and Effectiveness" as well as bringing Vietnam - Japan relations to new heights with a new framework, meeting the aspirations and bringing tangible benefits to the people of both countries while making positive contributions to peace, stability, prosperity, cooperation and development in the region and the world.
Speaking at the 50th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan, Crown Prince Akishino sent his greetings and best wishes to the leaders and people of Vietnam. He said that the friendly relationship between the two countries was built and nurtured today thanks to the continuous efforts of the two peoples throughout history. At the same time, he expected today and future generations to inherit and continue that relationship.
On this occasion, Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son sent a congratulatory message to Japanese Foreign Minister Kamikawa Yoko.
