Program "Marching to source" of Bac Ninh Provincial Youth in Cao Bang province

(BNP) - The Standing Committee of the Provincial Youth Union organized the "Marching to the Source" program in Cao Bang province to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - 2024) and the 35th anniversary of National Defense Day over two days (December 3-4).


Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union Nguyen Thi Huyen Trang and President of the Association of revolutionary soldiers who were captured and imprisoned by the enemy in Bac Ninh province and members of the delegation take souvenir photos at the relief of 34 soldiers (Tran Hung Dao Forest Special National Monument Area).

The delegation visited the Tran Hung Dao Forest National Special Relic Site (Nguyen Binh District, Cao Bang Province), a sacred land involved with a significant event in the country's history. Here, 80 years ago, the Vietnam Propaganda Liberation Army (the predecessor of the Vietnam People's Army) was established under the Directive of leader Ho Chi Minh on December 22, 1944.

The youth of Bac Ninh vowed to inherit and promote the fine traditions of the nation as well as the glorious traditions of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, always be proactive, voluntary, creative, and take the lead in performing assigned tasks, thereby, contributing to building a modern, civilized Bac Ninh province rich in cultural identity.

The delegation visited the Pac Bo National Special Relic Site (Truong Ha Commune, Ha Quang District, Cao Bang Province). On February 8, 1941, when returning to the country, President Ho Chi Minh lived in the first years of his return, leading the Vietnamese revolution.


The delegation listens to a presentation about Uncle Ho's life in the first years of returning to the country.

Continuing the journey, the delegation also visited the Kim Dong Historical Site. This is where the National Salvation Children's Team - the predecessor of today's Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneers Team, was established with 5 initial team members and led by Kim Dong (aka Nong Van Den).

The program "Marching to the source" is organized to educate and propagate to the members, youth of the Army and the youth of the whole province to understand more deeply about the tradition of fighting and defending the country of the nation, the glorious tradition of the heroic Vietnam People's Army, the meaning of the National Defense Day and the great achievements in building a strong National Defense.
