In the first six months, a wide range of socio-economic indicators of Luong Tai has a higher increase year-on-year. For example, industrial production value reached over VND1,126 billion, gaining 54.51% of the yearly plan and rising by 7.1% over the same period last year; state budget revenue was estimated at 64.8% of the plan that the province assigned; production value of service sector also saw an increase of 15.5%; 100% of people have access to hygienic water. In the whole district, there are 08 communes meeting the new rural standards, particularly, on average, each commune has 17.62 criteria, climbing 01 criterion compared to 2017.

A variety of fields of culture, society, internal affairs, national defense and security, the work of building the Party, the government, the Fatherland Front and mass organizations have been highly strengthened and brought into play, contributing to ensuring political stability, safety, and order of society.

In the last months of the year, Luong Tai district strives for an economic growth of 7.8 - 8%, the production value of industry and handicraft of over VND 2.067 billion, 3.6% increase of state budget revenue, Per capita income of VND 39 million, and adding 03 communes recognized meeting new rural standards.

Evaluating the socio-economic development in the first six months of the year, Secretary of Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Nhan Chien stressed that in spite of facing much more difficulties than other localities, the Party, authorities, and people of Luong Tai district is striving to obtain many achievements in all fields, contributing to the development of the province.

In the coming time, the Secretary asked Luong Tai district to launch an emulation movement to commemorate the 20^th anniversary of the district’s re-establishment, the 70^th anniversary of Uncle Ho’s call for patriotic emulation, the 60^th anniversary of Uncle Ho’s 05 visits to the Party and people of Bac Ninh province. Besides, the district needs to urgently implement the dossier of proposals for development of Thua urban area to 2030, strengthen the leadership and state management in the areas of urban development, transport, land, environment, capital construction, and finance..., to propagate and mobilize people to raise the sense of environmental protection, food safety and hygiene, and order of construction.

The Secretary Nguyen Nhan Chien also suggested that Luong Tai district focus on developing hi-tech, clean and safe agriculture in connection with processing and marketing of products, attracting businesses to invest in the agricultural sector to form a number of brand models in the area. The district has actively directed the implementation of the new rural development program, especially in the communes that have registered meeting standards in 2018.

The district is also requested to continue raising the comprehensive quality of education and training, healthcare, culture, job creation, ensuring social security and social order and safety, to effectively implement the program of supporting the construction of houses for persons having merits in assisting the revolution and poor households in 2018.
