The exchange program of "Singing Quan ho at hosting house on the full-moon night"
(BNP) – To celebrate the 73rd anniversary of the August Revolution and the September-2nd National Day, on September 25th, at the Quan ho hosting house in Thi Cau ward, the People's Committee of Bac Ninh city organized the exchange program of "Singing Quan ho at hosting house on the full-moon night" between the Quan ho clubs of Thi Cau ward and Duong Xa group, Van An ward.

Attending the exchange program were Mr. Nguyen Tu Quynh, Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan, Member of Provincial Party Standing Committee, Secretary of Bac Ninh city’s Party Committee; Mr. Nguyen Van Phong, Vice Chairman of Provincial People's Committee; leader of Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, People's Committee of Bac Ninh City, Thi Cau ward, Van An ward and a great number of people loving Bac Ninh Quan họ folksongs.
The exchange program of "Singing Quan ho folk songs at hosting house on the full-moon night” held by Bac Ninh city in the middle month of each quarter of the year aims to nurture and preserve, hand down unique cultural values of the Quan ho folk songs heritage to offspring generation. This is a practical activity to keep moving the project of "Conservation and promotion of intangible cultural heritage of Quan ho folk songs and Ca tru in the period of 2013-2020" by the Provincial People's Committee.
During the program, under the guidance of the artist Xuan Mui, male and female singers, and children of the Quan ho clubs of Thi Cau ward and Duong Xa group brought 14 very featured and impressive Quan ho performances to the audience such as " "Thiết tha", "Đôi ta như ngãi phan trần", "Phùng Quan tế hội" (Meet up in the autumn festival), "Năm liệu bảy lo, “Em là con gái Bắc Ninh” (I am a girl of Bac Ninh), "Liện sai", "Vui bốn mùa” (Enjoy 4 sessions), "Đi cấy", "Chia rẻ đôi nơi"… Through the smooth Quan ho’s rhythms and lyrics have helped many people, especially the young generation, understand more about the origin, cultural customs, the way, rules of traditionally Quan ho singing as well as costumes, how to play Quan ho of Kinh Bac people.
Through 8 times, the program has created a great attraction and spread, creating a playground for community cultural activities for the clubs, male and female singers and all classes of people in the area to save, learn and cultivate love for folk songs, contributing to preserving, promoting and making intangible cultural heritage Bac Ninh folk songs developed and long-lived.
