The number of tourists to Bac Ninh increases by 22% over the same period
(BNP) - Since the beginning of 2019, Bac Ninh has had many brilliant cultural, sports and tourist activities to celebrate the Festival "Arrive in Quan ho land in 2019" and the 10th anniversary of Quan ho Bac Ninh Folk songs recognized as a representative intangible cultural heritage of humanity by UNESCO. It made the number of tourists to Bac Ninh increase by 22% year-on-year.
The Cung Temple - Ngoc Well in Viem Xa is one of the tourist destinations recognized by the Provincial People's Committee.
Two of contents of the Festival "Arrive in Quan ho land in 2019" are the announcement of 11 provincial-level tourist destinations and the opening of Bac Ninh Tourism and Culture Week with activities such as Famtrip program "Discovering Kinh Bac - Bac Ninh homeland" with the participation of 20 provinces and cities, 15 travel enterprises, and 25 domestic press agencies; Free tours by bus "Journey to Quan ho heritage land",... Those activities helped visitors have the opportunity to experience the traditional, cultural tourism space.
Besides, traditional festivals in Spring in Bac Ninh have become specialties and brands such as Ba Chua Kho Temple (Bac Ninh City); The Lim; Phat Tich temple festival (Tien Du district); But Thap pagoda (Thuan Thanh district),... In the first quarter of 2019, Bac Ninh welcomed about 590,000 tourists, seeing an increase of 22% over the same period in 2018; revenue from tourism is estimated at VND 470 billion.
