The province establishes 15 new cooperatives

(BNP) - According to the Cooperative Alliance, in the first 6 months, the whole province established 15 cooperatives, reaching 50% of the plan, including 12 agricultural cooperatives and 3 commercial cooperatives.

Cooperatives operate effectively and contribute to improving people's lives.

As of June 30, 2019, the province has 627 cooperatives, including 505 agricultural cooperatives, 96 non-agricultural cooperatives and 26 people's credit funds with 93,120 members, an increase of 143 members and 5,158 regular employees.

Specifically, in the agricultural sector, the province has 310 agricultural service cooperatives and 195 agricultural cooperatives with 70,753 members, up 95 members and 3,912 regular workers, up 120 people compared to the end of 2018. On average, each cooperative has 140 members and 8 employees.

In the non-agricultural sector, the province has 51 industrial-handicraft cooperatives with 419 members and 530 laborers; 02 construction cooperatives with 14 members; 22 transport cooperatives with 223 members; 19 commercial cooperatives with 189 members and 02 sanitation cooperatives with 17 members.

The cooperatives basically operate effectively, contributing to the common development of the locality, changing the face of rural areas in a positive direction, ensuring social security.
