To solemnly organize the 185th anniversary of Bac Ninh’s establishment and 20th anniversary of its re-establishment and receive First Class Independence Medal
(BNP) – In the evening of February 12th, 2017, at Kinh Bac Cultural Center’s Square, Provincial Party Committee, Provincial People’s Council, Provincial People’s Committee and Provincial Fatherland Front solemnly organized a ceremony to celebrate 185th anniversary of Bac Ninh’s establishment and 20th anniversary of its re-establishment and received First Class Independence Medal.
PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc awarded First Class Independence Medal to Bac Ninh’s Party, authority and people.
Attending the ceremony were Prime Minister (PM) of the Nguyen Xuan Phuc; former Party General Secretary Nong Duc Manh; Secretary of the CPV Central Committee Pham Minh Chinh; Minister of Public Security-Senior Lieutenant General To Lam; Former Minister of Defense-Full General Pham Van Tra; Vice President Dang Ngoc Thinh; Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Do Ba Ty; leaders of Central committees, ministers and sectors; representatives from diplomatic agencies; leaders of neighboring Bac Giang Province and 23 provinces and cities, nationwide.
On the side of Bac Ninh province, there were Secretary of Provicial Party Committee (PPC) Nguyen Nhan Chien, Permanent Deputy Secretary of PPC Nguyen Huu Quat, Chairman of Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Tu Quynh, Deputy Secretary of PPC Nguyen Thi Ha; leaders and former leaders of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Provincial People's Council, Provincial People’s Committee, Provincial Fatherland Front; leaders of departments, provincial unions, districts, towns and cities ... and numerous classes of people within and outside the province.
Mr. Nguyen Phu Trong, General Secretary of the Party Central Committee, the former General Secretaries: Mr. Do Muoi and Mr. Le Kha Phieu, President Tran Dai Quang, Chairwoman of National Assembly Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, Standing member of the Secretariat Mr. Dinh The Huynh, Nguyen Thien Nhan, a Politburo member, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, Mr. Vo Van Thuong, a Politburo member and Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda Department sent flowers for congratulation.
Delivering the opening speech, Secretary Nguyen Nhan Chien stressed: Throughout any history and the stage, the land and people of Bac Ninh also uphold the spirit of patriotism, tradition of unity, culture and revolution; take advantage of the potential and advantages of local, bravery, hardworking, creativity in labor and production, contributing significantly to the cause of national liberation, building and defense of the Fatherland and promoting modernization of the country.
Promoting the 185 years of province’s historical tradition and great achievements after 20 years of re-establishment, the Secretary stressed that Bac Ninh’s Party, authority and people would continue upholding the spirit of solidarity and unity; developing maximization of potential and advantages; overcoming difficulties and challenges; trying to learn, work, labor, produce and build Bac Ninh province to become more prosperous and civilized, contributing to the cause of industrialization – modernization.
Speaking at the ceremony, PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc highly appreciated significant and comprehensive achievements made by the local Party Committee, authorities, people and army over the past two decades.
He asked the province to join hands with other localities across the country to realize the national socio-economic development tasks in 2017 while exerting maximum effort to establish itself as a centrally-run city and one of the wealthiest localities in the following decades.
He requested the province not to be content with its achievements but to continue working out more initiatives and solutions to raise Bac Ninh into one of the leading electronics factory industrial areas of the region.
He stressed the importance of safeguarding traditional historical and cultural values and protecting the environment during the integration and development process.
It is also necessary to enhance Party building, enhance the management of local authorities as well as promote the role of the provincial Fatherland Front Committee and social organisations, he added.
