27th National Wrestling Championship opens
(BNP) - On April 27, at the temple of General Cao Lo Vuong (Cao Duc commune), the General Department of Physical Education and Sports, the Vietnam Wrestling Federation, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the District People's Committee Gia Binh jointly held the opening ceremony of the 27th National Wrestling Championship in 2023.

The tournament attracted 128 athletes from 14 provinces, cities and industries including: Hanoi, Tuyen Quang, Phu Tho, Ninh Binh, Bac Giang, Lam Dong, Bac Ninh, police, and Ha. Nam, Thua Thien Hue, Vinh Phuc, Nghe An, Thai Nguyen, Hai Phong and the Army. Athletes competed in 18 events.
This is a practical activity to celebrate the 48th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2023) and International Labor Day (May 1); celebrate the 2,300th birthday of General Cao Lo Vuong; encourage and promote the movement to practice ethnic wrestling for young people. The tournament aims to evaluate the results of practice and competition in national wrestling of the provinces, cities and branches across the country.
After the opening ceremony, there were exciting competitions. Athletes have devoted viewers to the top technical hits in National Wrestling.
The National Wrestling Championship will take place from April 27 to May 3, 2023. At the end, the Organizing Committee will award prizes to athletes with outstanding achievements. In particular, at the 27th tournament, the Organizing Committee will assign the level to the qualified athletes of the grandmaster level and the level 1 athletes.
