Bac Ninh delegation win first gold medal at 9th National Sports Festival

On November 28, athlete Nguyen Van Nhat of the Bac Ninh team's won the gold medal in the 71kg weight category Kumite. This is the first Gold Medal of Bac Ninh sports delegation at the 9th National Sports Festival.

On the same day, the athletes of Bac Ninh including Nguyen Phuong Thao, female individual Kumite, class 44kg; Nguyen Dang Chien, Men individual Kumite, class 54kg; Ngo Van Hung, men individual Kumite, class 67kg; Ngo Trung Chinh, men individual kata continued to bring the delegation 4 more bronze medals.

Karate of the 9th National Sports Festival attracted nearly 400 athletes from 39 sports delegations. Athletes competed in 25 sets of medals. The Bac Ninh Karate team has18 athletes participating (14 men, 4 women), aiming to win 2 or more Gold medals.

The 9th National Sports Festival took place from December 9 to 21, 2022 in Quang Ninh province and 10 other provinces and cities, including: Hanoi, Hai Phong, Hai Duong, Bac Ninh, Bac Giang, and Nam Dinh, Ninh Binh, Thanh Hoa, Hoa Binh, Vinh Phuc. The festival attracted the participation of more than 10,000 athletes, competing in 43 sports. The opening ceremony of the Festival will take place on December 9 at Sun Carnival Ha Long square (Ha Long city, Quang Ninh province).
