Bac Ninh - Hanoi Culture and Tourism Week

(BNP) - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Phong has signed to issue Plan No.446/KH-UBND to organize Bac Ninh - Hanoi Tourism and Culture Week, which takes place from February 28th to March 8th, 2020 in Bac Ninh city and Hanoi capital.

Art performance “Coming Back to Quan Ho Land in 2019”.

Bac Ninh - Hanoi Culture and Tourism Week is organized by Bac Ninh province in coordination with Hanoi city. It is a practical activity to celebrate the National Tourism Year 2020; the 10th anniversary of Thang Long - Hanoi (1010 - 2020); the 1046th birthday anniversary of Thai Cong Ly Uan (974 - 2020); the 130th birthday anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh; the Party Congress at all levels in the term of 2020 – 2025… This is also an opportunity to propagate, advertise and introduce the values ​​of cultural history, traditional culture, revolution, studious and the academic of Bac Ninh – Kinh Bac homeland as well as the outstanding achievement on the Bac Ninh province’s socio-economic development with an aim to making Bac Ninh province into a centrally-run city in 2022.

Opening for the Culture and Tourism Week is an art performance” Coming back to Quan Ho land” with the theme “ Kim bảng lưu phương” which takes place at 20:00 on February 29, 2020 at Kinh Bac Cultural Center. The program will be broadcast live on the Vietnam Television Station, Bac Ninh Television and Radio Station and some Central Television Stations of central agencies and provinces and cities.

Also in the Week of Culture and Tourism, there will be a series of responding activities such as the International Women's Volleyball Tournament - LienVietPostBank Cup 2020 (or Kinh Bac Women's Volleyball Tournament); the Exhibition "Bac Ninh with Ly Dynasty" at the Provincial Museum; the Book display and the show of Dong Ngu Water Puppet at the Provincial Library; the fine art exhibition, artwork, architecture with the theme " Bac Ninh imprint" in the area of Ly Thai To Monument and Nguyen Phi Y Lan Park; Bac Ninh Tourism - Food Fair at Kinh Bac Cultural Center.

Besides, there are some folk games taking place in Nguyen Van Cu park; the street experience activities at Ly Thai To street, the Provincial Library, the Provincial Museum and so on.

In 3 days (March 6th – 8th, 2020), in Hanoi capital, the art program "Spirit of Thang Long" was held in the area of Ly Thai To Monument, Hoan Kiem district. This is a program is organized by Bac Ninh’s Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Hanoi’s Department of Culture and Sports,  Hanoi Tourism Department in coordination with related departments and agencies of Bac Ninh province and Hanoi city. The exhibition activities including "Bac Ninh - A destination for cultural and spiritual tourism, festivals, food and traditional craft villages"; Dong Ho Folk Painting Exhibition; The Dong Ngu Water Puppet Performance also take place in here.
