Bac Ninh high-ranking delegation works in Daegu city (Korea)

On May 5, Bac Ninh’s high-ranking delegation led by Mr.  Nguyen Tu Quynh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, visited and worked in Daegu city (Korea). Receiving the delegation was Mr. Jang Se-yong, Mayor of Deagu.

The visit of Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tu Quynh in Deagu aims to concrete the Memorandum of Understanding between Deagu and Bac Ninh in promoting comprehensive exchanges and cooperation on a wide range of fields such as culture, sport, tourism, health, education, environment,... According to the schedule, the delegation had a field trip to Shin Cheon Wastewater Treatment Plant, which is a fully automated technology with a capacity of nearly 700 thousand m3/day and responsible for handling nearly 40% of the wastewater of Deagu and had a meeting with Mayor of Deagu Mr. Jang Se-yong.

During the working session, the two leaders said Bac Ninh and Daegu are the two cities with many similarities in terms of people and traditional culture. The two localities are not just strategic partners, but also friends to share the strengths and supplements for the areas of mutual concern, thereby contributing to promoting the friendship between Vietnam and Korea.

In the framework, Chairman of Bac Ninh province Nguyen Tu Quynh attended the Daegu's colorful festival 2019, which has been held annually since 2005, with many street activities holding the typical culture of Korea and countries around the world. This year the festival attracts 86 delegations including 16 foreign delegations.

Attending the festival, Bac Ninh brought Deagu Quan Ho folk songs, intangible cultural heritage of humanity. Through the sweet performance, the majority of Koreans and tens of thousands of international visitors in Deagu not only enjoyed a hearty music party but also listened to useful knowledge to better understand about customs, behavior, and especially the play style of Quan ho people.
