Bac Ninh ranks 11th out of 63 provinces and cities in Provincial Innovation Index in 2024

(BNP) - According to the results announced by the Ministry of Science and Technology, in 2024, Bac Ninh province ranked 11th in the Provincial Innovation Index (PII) with a score of 42.83.

The PII consists of 52 components (divided into 7 pillars: institutions; human capital - research and development; infrastructure; market development level; business development level; knowledge, innovation and technology products; and impact).

In terms of total component scores, Bac Ninh province achieved 42.83 points, ranking 11th nationwide and 4th in the Red River Delta region.

Bac Ninh is a locality with developed industry, highly appreciated in terms of institutional index, infrastructure, market development level, business development level, factors affecting production and business; export value/GRDP; foreign direct investment; etc.

In the ranking, Hanoi is the locality with the highest score, reaching 60.76 points, followed by Ho Chi Minh City and Hai Phong.

Through PII, localities know their strengths and weaknesses and, based on development orientation, improve weaknesses, enhance strengths, and build appropriate policies to promote local socio-economy according to the current situation.
