Provincial Cultural Center teaches skills of singing Bac Ninh Quan Ho folk songs in 2025

Merited Artist Quy Trang, former Director of Bac Ninh Quan Ho Folk Theater, instructs students on some skills of Bac Ninh Quan Ho folk songs antiphonal singing.

Accordingly, the Provincial Cultural Center organized 2 classes, class 1 from January 3-5, 2025 for students who are pairs of Bac Ninh Quan Ho folk songs who registered to participate in the singing stage, with 150 songs at the Bac Ninh Quan Ho folk song contest in the year of At Ty – 2025. Class 2 is from January 6-8, 2025 for students who are pairs of students who registered to participate in the singing stage, with 50 songs at the Bac Ninh Quan Ho folk song contest in the year of At Ty - 2025.

Attending the class, students will listen to artisans, artists, and researchers with experience in researching and teaching Bac Ninh Quan Ho folk songs introduce the topic of learning about Bac Ninh Quan Ho folk songs. At the same time, they were guided in practicing some skills of singing Bac Ninh Quan Ho folk songs, and practice additional Quan Ho songs in the exam questions on the singing stage.

The class aims to raise awareness of the quintessence and unique identity of Bac Ninh Quan Ho folk songs, a representative intangible cultural heritage of humanity. This is an opportunity for students to be equipped with the most basic knowledge and skills in the form of Bac Ninh Quan Ho folk songs. At the same time, it is an occasion for the pairs singing Bac Ninh folk songs to meet, study, exchange experiences, build a healthy cultural environment, thus promoting the image of Bac Ninh people who are dynamic, creative, developed, and responsible in preserving the national cultural identity of their homeland.
