Bac Ninh ranks third in whole team at 27th National Traditional Wrestling Championship
(BNP) – Recently, at the temple of General Cao Lo Vuong, Cao Duc commune, Gia Binh district, the final matches of the 27th National Traditional Wrestling Championship in 2023 took place.
Organizers give prizes to whole team.
The tournament was organized by the General Department of Physical Education and Sports, the Vietnam Wrestling Federation, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Bac Ninh province and the People's Committee of Gia Binh district.
At the end, the Organizing Committee awarded the first prize to the Hanoi team with 2 Golds, 7 Silvers, 4 Bronze medals; Vinh Phuc team won the second prize of the whole group with 2 Golds, 3 Silvers, 4 Bronze medals; Bac Ninh team ranked third with 2 Golds, 2 Silvers and 6 Bronze medals.
Along with that, the Organizing Committee awarded 18 sets of medals to wrestlers in weight categories from 48kg - more than 100kg. In particular, the Bac Ninh wrestlers who won the Gold medal include: Dao Nhu Tan (weight category 69kg) and Vu Van Xuong (weight category over 100kg).
This is a practical activity to celebrate the 48th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and the unification of the country (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2023) and International Labor Day (May 1); celebrate the 2,300th birthday of General Cao Lo Vuong; encourage and promote the movement to practice ethnic wrestling for young people. the tournament aims to contribute to encouraging and promoting the movement of practicing ethnic wrestling for young people as well as valuate the results of training and competition in national wrestling of provinces, cities and branches nationwide.
