Bac Ninh wins 10 medals at 29th National Youth Karate Championship
(BNP) - The 29th National Youth Karate Championship was held at Nha Trang (Khanh Hoa province) from June 9 to 18, 2023.

More than 700 athletes from 40 provinces, towns, and enterprises competed in the tournament. Athletes competed in two events, Kata and Kumite, in five age divisions for men and women (ages 10 to 22), with 25 sets of Kata medals and 72 sets of Kumite medals.
The Bac Ninh Karate team sent 19 athletes to compete in both Kata and Kumite content. Bac Ninh Karate team finished the tournament with 10 medals total, including 3 gold medals, 2 silver medals, and 5 bronze medals, placing 12th out of 40 delegations. In the Kumite content, three athletes won gold medals: Nguyen Van Dang, class 50kg (age group 18-22); Nguyen Phuong Thao, class 47kg (age group 18-22); and Nguyen Thi Ngoc Anh, class 56kg (age group 16-17).
