Elderly Singing Festival 2023 opens

The Organizing Committee gives souvenir flags to participating teams.

The Provincial Elderly Singing Festival attracted nearly 500 actors, musicians and instrumentalist from cultural and art clubs for the elderly in the whole province from 8 districts, towns and cities; Provincial Elderly Cheo Singing Club and the Folk Song of Three Regions Club. The units participated in a maximum of 5 performances, each lasting 35 minutes in the following genres: pre-revolutionary music (red music), traditional music, folk songs, folk art (tuong, cheo, military drums, Quan Ho folk songs, Van singing, and ca tru singing). Performances included singing, dancing, solo, poetry recitation... solo performance, duet, group performances and illustrations.   

Performances participating in the festival will praise the Party, Uncle Ho, the love of the homeland, the country and the people of Bac Ninh; Vietnamese heroic mother; heroic tradition of the nation; innovation achievements of the homeland and the country; the tradition of the Vietnam Elderly Association, the contributions of the elderly in the construction and defense of the Fatherland, the emulation movement "Advanced age - Bright example".

The festival aims to propagate and implement the Party's guidelines, policies and laws on the protection, care and promotion of the role of the elderly. This is also an opportunity to review the elderly's revolutionary tradition, foster their participation in cultural and artistic endeavors, improve their spiritual lives, support them in leading happy, healthy and productive lives; contribute to traditional education for the younger generation and build a stronger and stronger Elderly Association.

At the end of the festival, the Organizing Committee awarded the first, second and third prizes for the whole group and the first, second and third prizes for the performances in all categories.
