IIP increases by 4.7% in October

In particular, the manufacturing, processing industry edged up 4.7% over the previous month and down 8.9% year-on-year. On the contrary, manufacturing, and distribution of electricity, gas, hot water, steam, and air conditioning decreased by 2.1% and climbed by 10.4% in turn. Water supply and waste, wastewater management, treatment increased by 1.9% and 10% respectively.

Over the past 10 months, thanks to the new electronic products with large consumption, the key products of the non-state sector have gradually escaped from difficulties and expanded production, IIP maintains its double-digit growth (+ 11.9%) over the same period last year.

In particular, the processing industry increased by 11.9% and electricity production and distribution raised by 14.7%; Water supply also increased by 3.2%. Some sectors showed high growth such as paper products (+20.9%); Records printing and copy (+23%); Production of drugs and medicinal herbs (up 2.5 times); Electronic products (+12.7%)
