Online Book Fair 2020 with theme "Reading books, enhancing intellect, and overcoming fear of Covid-19 pandemic"
(BNP) - Implementing Directive 16 TTg of the Prime Minister to take urgent measures for Covid-19 control, Ministry of Information and Communications has organized a National Online Book Fair to celebrate the seventh Vietnam Book Day, which took place from April 19 to May 20 at Book365.vn with the theme "Reading books, enhancing intellect, and overcoming fear of Covid-19 pandemic".

An online book fair was held for the first time in Vietnam and applied advanced 4.0 technologies such as: online conference technology, online book floor technology, social chat call 4.0 technology. It is expected to attract 10 million hits.
This year’s online book fair attracted the participation of 49 publishers and distributors displaying nearly 10,000 items..
In the framework of the fair, online seminars between writers, celebrities and readers using the latest online social networking technology 4.0; competitions on book review, critic and reading with attractive prizes to attract the attention of readers have been held.
To attract readers, the book fair also launched a promotion program that offers a 25% discount on books and free shipping for 20,000 orders.
The online book fair aims to help readers have greater access to books and boost reading habits in the period that the whole country is struggling with the Covid-19 pandemic. At the same time, it would also help the publishing houses open up a new direction, develop the book market as well as better contribute to the national society and the economy.According to the organizers, the price of each book includes a 3% of contribution to the Covid-19 prevention support fund.
