(BNP) - In the evening of May 9, at Kinh Bac Cultural Center (Bac Ninh city), Department of Industry and Trade in cooperation with Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism opened ASEAN Craft Village - Tourism Fair in 2019.

The Fair has the participation of nearly 150 booths from ASEAN countries such as Laos, Indonesia,... and Japan, Korea; provinces of Quang Nam, Da Nang and Dac Nong, Yen Bai. Particularly, Bac Ninh province has more than 30 booths displaying typical products of craft villages: Phu Lang Pottery, Dai Bai bronze, Dong Ho folk paintings,... It gave domestic and international enterprises to advertise typical tourism products and services as well as to seek partners, customers, investment policies,…

In the framework of the Festival, from May 10 to May 12, visitors had chances to join cultural exchange activities; folk games of Vietnam, Laos, Thailand, Cambodia and free tours to discover the culture of Bac Ninh.
Speaking at the opening of ASEAN Craft Village - Tourism Fair in 2019, Permanent Vice Chairman of Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tien Nhuong emphasized, over the past years, along with the industrial development, Bac Ninh has focused on improving branding trade village products and tourism. Many products have affirmed its position at home and abroad with unique characteristics stemmed from Kinh Bac region and Red River Delta such as Xuan Lai bamboo, Dong Ky furniture, Phu Lang pottery, Dong Ho folk painting,... In addition to introducing traditional handicraft products, it also offered famous tourism destinations, festivals such as Do Temple, Phat Tich Pagoda, But Thap Pagoda,... and Quan ho folk songs which are recognized as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO.

Furthermore, he wished Bac Ninh would be an attractive destination for enterprises in producing craft products. Especially, through the Fair, there would be many meaningful activities, many contracts among units, creating a premise for the development and long-term cooperation in the future.
