Provincial leader inspects clean water and rural environmental sanitation works in province
(BNP) - On July 4, Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee inspected clean water and rural environmental sanitation works in the province.

Also joining the delegation were leaders of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Department of Construction, the Department of Finance, the Office of the Provincial People's Committee, Tien Du district and Thuan Thanh town.
The Center for Rural Water Supply and Environmental Sanitation is currently managing and operating 17 centralized clean water supply stations, supplying water to 34 communes and 3 wards of 8 districts, towns, and cities. The total design capacity of the stations is 90,960 m3/day and night, supplying water to 67,266 households (more than the designed 64,508 households). The rate of households supplied compared to the whole province is 67,266/312,865 households, equaling 21.5% of the total number of households; compared to rural areas, it is 67,266/155,687 households, equaling 43.2%. Water output in 2023 reached 9,143,307 m3.

Speaking at the conference on inspection of clean water and rural environmental sanitation works in the province, the Standing Vice Chairman acknowledged the efforts of the Center for Clean Water and Rural Environmental Sanitation in providing stable clean water to rural areas in the province, ensuring people's health.

The Standing Vice Chairman requested that the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development continue to direct and facilitate the Center for Clean Water and Rural Environmental Sanitation to improve the quality and efficiency of operations; provide advice on the development of an equalization project and submit it to the Provincial People's Committee in accordance with the plan, thereby simplifying the apparatus, improving production and business efficiency, and decreasing state budget expenditure.
The Standing Vice Chairman urged the Department of Construction in coordination with the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to review and introduce investment locations for the construction of rural clean water stations. The Department of Finance reviews and calculates the clean water selling price of the Center; considers additional funding for the repair, renovation, and upgrading of clean water supply works managed by the Center to ensure safe water supply and improve the water supply capacity of the works.

For the Center for Clean Water and Rural Environmental Sanitation, it is necessary to organize activities in a streamlined, effective, and efficient manner; strengthen the application of modern technological equipment in the management, operation, and monitoring of clean water quality; ensure safety for the water supply system; and minimize the rate of water loss, Tuan added.
