Provincial People’s Committee allows to establish Associations of the Elderly at all levels
(BNP) - The Provincial People’s Committee just issued Decisions no. 193/QD-UBND and no. 194/QD-UBND dated February 29, 2024 on allowing to establish the Provincial Association of the Elderly and Associations of the Elderly of districts, towns and cities in the province.

At the Decision no. 193/QD-UBND, the Chairwoman of the Provincial People’s Committee allows to establish the Provincial Association of the Elderly.
Accordingly, the Provincial Association of the Elderly is a social organization that operates throughout the province in the elderly following legal regulations and Charter of Vietnam Association of the Elderly. The Provincial Association of the Elderly is responsible for complying with legal provisions and under the state management of the Department of Home Affairs, the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, and departments and branches related to the Association’s activities.
In Decision no. 194/QD-UBND, the Chairwoman of the Provincial People’s Committee allows to establish the Associations of the Elderly of districts, towns and cities including Bac Ninh and Tu Son cities; Thuan Thanh and Que Vo towns; Gia Binh, Luong Tai and Tien Du districts.
The Associations of the Elderly of districts, towns and cities are social organizations that operate within districts, towns and cities in the elderly following legal regulations and Charter of Vietnam Association of the Elderly. The Associations is responsible for complying with legal provisions and under the state management of the People’s Committees of districts, towns and cities, the Department of Home Affairs, and departments and branches related to the Associations’ activities.
The Associations of the Elderly at all levels have their own legal status, seals and accounts. The Decisions take effect from the date of signing.
