Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee works with investors of concentrated domestic solid waste treatment areas

(BNP) - On March 4, Mr. Nguyen Nhan Chien, Member of Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies visited and worked with investors of concentrated domestic solid waste treatment areas in the districts of Que Vo, Gia Binh, and Thuan Thanh.

The provincial leaders inspect the waste treatment at the concentrated solid waste treatment area of Que Vo district.

Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Nhan Chien visited and worked with Thuan Thanh Environment Joint Stock Company, the investor of the domestic solid waste treatment area of Thuan Thanh district in Ngu Thai commune. For the capacity of 275 tons/day and night and a total budget of over VND 100 billion, the company has collected and transported waste in 100% of hamlets and villages, ensuring to dispose of all waste daily. In 2018, it received and processed 33,946 tons, an average of 94.3 tons/day.

The domestic solid waste treatment area of Que Vo district located in Phu Lang commune covers an area of about 10ha, invested by Hung Phat Urban Environment Co., Ltd. with the capacity of 200 tons/day including 03 incinerators and sorting line complex with a total cost of about VND 200 billion. The company is the leading unit in the province in the treatment of solid waste by modern combustion technology with increasing output year by year.

The concentrated solid waste treatment area of Gia Binh district in Cao Duc commune invested by Bac Hai Environment and Construction Investment Joint Stock Company has the capacity of 70 tons/day and night. Since its establishment in March 2017, the company has received and processed 38,240 tons of domestic waste so far.

Directly inspecting the solid waste treatment activities, Secretary Nguyen Nhan Chien acknowledged and appreciated the efforts of the leaders and employees at companies in handling waste, contributing to environmental protection as well as creating jobs for local and neighborhood workers.

Responding to the theme of the year "Bac Ninh acts for the clean environment", the Provincial Party Committee Secretary asked the companies to continue investing and innovating technology to improve productivity and quality of waste treatment. At the same time, those units are requested to focus on collecting all waste at the gathering points, finish off in the day without leaving the garbage; plant more trees to create landscapes, deodorant hygiene, and have a plan to handle leachate without affecting the surrounding environment.
