Thuan Thanh district budget revenue reaches more than VND 2,200 billion

In 2018, Thuan Thanh district has exceeded the goals and tasks set out. Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) reached VND 5,956 billion, the growth rate reached 10%, with an increase of 0.5% compared to 2017; the economic structure shifted in the right direction, the proportion of industry and service sector increased and accounted for 89.8%; the proportion of agriculture decreased to 10.2%. Industrial production value reached more than VND 10,281.1 billion, up 13.4%; budget revenue reached more than VND 2,241 billion, reaching 310% of the estimate.

In 2019, Thuan Thanh district continued focusing on sustainable socio-economic development and environmental protection; improving income and quality of the people’s life, ensuring social welfare, maintaining political stability as well as building a strong national defense and strong people's security. The district strives for GRDP to reach VND 6,464 billion, the growth rate reaches 8.5%; building 5 national standard schools; the rate of classroom solidification reaches 100% and so on.

Addressing at the Conference, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tu Quynh acknowledged and warmly praised the efforts and achievements of Thuan Thanh district's Party, government and people in the past year.

The Chairman urged Thuan Thanh district in 2019 to continue effectively implementing the tasks and objectives set out.
