Vice Chairman Dao Quang Khai receives and works with Deputy Governor of Gyeongsangbuk Province (Korea)
(BNP) - On August 11, Mr. Dao Quang Khai, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee received and worked with a delegation led by Ms. Lee Dal Hee, Deputy Governor of Gyeongsangbuk Province (Korea).

On behalf of the provincial leaders, Vice Chairman Dao Quang Khai welcomed the Delegation of Gyeongsangbuk Province and briefly introduced the rich cultural traditions, history and outstanding achievements in the socio-economic development of the province in recent years.
Up to now, Bac Ninh has become the bright spot of the country in terms of foreign investment attraction with more than 1,900 valid FDI projects totaling investment capital of more than USD 24.2 billion from 39 countries and territories. Korea is the leading country, accounting for about 59.6% of the total foreign investment capital in the province, among which, there are many enterprises from Gyeongsangbuk province. Korean enterprises basically complied with the Vietnamese legislation, promote investment efficiency, and make positive contributions to the province's socio-economic development.
Vice Chairman Phuong affirmed that Gyeongsangbuk province has close relations with Bac Ninh province, in which Tu Son city and Bonghwa district, Bac Ninh and Gumi cities have signed a memorandum of understanding on friendly cooperation relations. At the same time, it is expected that in the near future, Bac Ninh and Gyeongsangbuk province would sign a cooperation agreement, cementing the two cities' relationship.
For her part, Deputy Governor Lee Dal Hee acknowledged and highly appreciated the results of Bac Ninh’s socio-economic development, especially in foreign direct investment attraction. At the same time, Gyeongsangbuk is the largest province in South Korea with many industrial parks and key Korean companies, including the headquarters of Samsung Group. With 42 universities in the area, the province has many attractive and preferential policies for foreign students who want to study, live and work in the locality.
She hoped to strengthen cultural exchanges, people-to-people exchanges and education to promote cooperation between Bac Ninh province and Gyeongsangbuk province in general, districts and cities of Bac Ninh province with districts and cities of Gyeongsangbuk province in particular.
She further urged that Bac Ninh province to support and create conditions for Korean businesses in general and Gyeongsangbuk province in particular to learn and invest in Bac Ninh, especially in the fields of high technology, supporting industries, information technology, urban infrastructure development, eco-tourism, entertainment as well as join hands to boost the development of the Vietnamese village project in Bonghwa district, thereby, contributing to the restoration and development of the historical and traditional cultural values of Vietnam and Korea.
