31st National Diplomacy Conference held
(BNP) - In the morning of December 15, in Hanoi, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended and directed the 31st National Diplomacy Conference. The conference is held in both online and in-person formats.

In his opening remarks, Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son said the conference takes place at a crucial time when the diplomatic sector and the nation are entering a new development period and striving to successfully implement the Resolution adopted at the 13th National Party Congress, the 2021-2030 socio-economic development strategy, and the 2021-2025 socio-economic development plan.
He also pointed out the rapid, complex developments in the world and domestic situations, notably the COVID-19 pandemic. The diplomatic sector has made concerted efforts to overcome difficulties and challenges to synchronously carry out major tasks on foreign relations, Son said.
Son added that, in the complicated global environment, the Vietnamese diplomatic sector had persisted in its principle of steadfastness, being flexible and creative to overcome challenges in order to synchronously implement key foreign affairs tasks and achieve outstanding key results.
Speaking at the Conference, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh urged the diplomatic sector to popularize goals, viewpoints, tasks and solutions set forth by the 13th Party Congress, especially after the National Cultural Conference, contributing to preserving and promoting Vietnamese cultural values and Vietnamese people, bringing culture to the same level as politics, economy and society.
He asked the sector to continue to promote the Resolution of the 13th Party Congress and carry out the tasks set out at the recent National Foreign Affairs Conference.
Concluding speech at the Bac Ninh’s venue, Vice Chairman Phuong asked the departments, branches and localities, especially the Foreign Affairs department of the Office of the Provincial People's Committee to fully absorb the instructions of the Prime Minister and the conclusion of Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Dao Hong Lan in the National Foreign Relations Conference as well as the spirit of the Resolution of the 13th Party Congress on foreign affairs.
It has continued to promote the core role in local foreign affairs, keep close contact with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and diplomatic missions abroad; to actively advertise the local image, attract investment foreign investment; advise and do well the immigration work for foreign experts, etc., thus contributing to attracting more resources for socio - economic development, ensuring security - politics, social order and safety of the province.
