Adjusting general planning of Cho town and its vicinity, Yen Phong district
(BNP) - Provincial People's Committee issued Decision No. 528/QD-UBND approving the adjustment project of the general planning of Cho town and its vicinity, Yen Phong district (Yen Phong urban area) to 2035, the rate of 1/10,000.
The objective of the plan is to concretize the construction planning of Bac Ninh province and the urban development program of Bac Ninh province and Yen Phong district as well as orient Yen Phong urban area to meet the criteria of a grade IV urban area as a basis for the establishment of Yen Phong town in the short term (in 2025.
Yen Phong urban area is planned to include the entire administrative boundary of Yen Phong district; has the nature of an industrial and service urban area; is a center for development of high-tech industry, clean industry, supporting industries and development of trade in services, serving industry; is the focal point linking economic development with provinces of Bac Giang, Thai Nguyen and Hanoi city.
The current population as of 2021 is 256,876 people. By 2025, about 306,460 people; by 2035, about 456,550 people. The total planning area is about 9,693 hectares.
