Approving task of formulating planning for preservation and restoration of special national monument in Thuan Thanh district
(BNP) – Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam signed Decision No. 737/QD-TTg approving the task of formulating a master plan for preservation and restoration of special national monuments including Dau pagoda, “Tứ Pháp” system, Luy Lau ancient citadel) in Thuan Thanh district, Bac Ninh province.

Accordingly, the planning has a total area of 26.97 ha, located in Thuan Thanh district, including relic sites such as Special National Monument Dau Pagoda (Dai Tu hamlet, Thanh Khuong commune), Luy Lau Ancient Citadel (Khuong Tu hamlet and Lung Khe village, Thanh Khuong commune), Dau Pagoda (Dai Tu hamlet, Thanh Khuong commune), Dan Pagoda (Phuong Quan hamlet, Tri Qua commune), To Pagoda (Man Xa hamlet and Cong Ha hamlet, Ha Man commune).
The planning for preservation and restoration of monuments consist of orientation of space for conservation and embellishment of relics, so as to ensures the maximum preservation of elements constituting the originality and reproduction of the characteristics of the heritage, creating a connecting space between the monuments.
The planning aims to preserve the tangible and intangible cultural values associated with the special national relic complex of Dau Pagoda and the Tu Phap system, the Luy Lau Ancient Citadel into a heritage education site, a place to demonstrate authenticating the introduction and exchange of Buddhism with indigenous beliefs in Vietnam; gradually turning Thuan Thanh into an urban area associated with heritage, contributing to local socio-economic development; promote the value of the relic complex to become the cultural and religious center of Bac Ninh province and the Red River Delta region, cultural-historical tourism associated with festivals; connect Dau Pagoda and Tu Phap system, Luy Lau Ancient Citadel with historical - cultural relics, scenic spots, tourist attractions in Bac Ninh province and surrounding areas.
