Art performance with theme "Village Gate"

(BNP) - In the evening of April 10, at the Quan Ho Folk Theater of Bac Ninh (Diem village, Hoa Long ward, Bac Ninh city), the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism held the first art performance with the theme "Village Gate" to serve the audience.

Starting from April 2021, Bac Ninh Quan Ho Folk Theater (Theater) will periodically organize art performance for the audience (free) with a frequency of 2 times per month on Saturday evenings. This activity aims to exploit and promote the efficiency of the Theater, so as to step by step making it become an attractive destination for the art-loving public as well as introduce and promote its unique beauty of Bac Ninh Quan Ho Folksong - Representative intangible cultural heritage of humanity.

The first performance night with the theme "Village Gate" lasted more than 60 minutes, telling the story of enduring love through ups and downs of time and a sense of appreciation to nurture, effortlessly transmit and preserve the profession of playing Quan Ho of Bac Ninh people.

This is the experimental Quan Ho program, which is elaborately set up with many singing, dancing and musical instrument concerts in the Quan Ho song "Root of the village multi-gate". Many ancient Quan Ho tunes were edited and harmonized... The program is directed by Meritorious Artist Khanh Toan, won 02 Gold Medals and 02 Silver Medals National Music and Dance Festival 2018.
