Bac Ninh exceeds medal target in Kurash, Weightlifting and Wushu at National Sports Congress
(BNP) - On December 20, the Organizing Committee of the 9th National Sports Congress in 2022 awarded sports prizes: Kurash, Weightlifting, Wushu and Badminton. Bac Ninh delegation exceeded the medal target of 3 sports: Kurash, Weightlifting, and Wushu.

*After 3 days of competition (December 17-19), at Hoai Duc District Gymnasium (Hanoi), 147 Kurash athletes from 17 sports delegations across the country competed in 18 weight classes for 18 sets of medals.
Bac Ninh sports delegation sent 5 athletes to participate in the competition, winning 4 medals including: 1 gold medal from athlete Nguyen Quang Vinh (men's 66kg class), 1 silver medal from Dao Chung Nguyen (women's 78 kg class) and 2 bronze medals from athlete Nguyen Minh Hoan (under 50kg men), Nguyen Thi Thanh Thuy (under 78kg women).
*Beginning from December 16 to 20, at the Labor Culture House in Thanh Hoa province, weightlifting attracted the participation of nearly 200 athletes from 25 provinces, cities and industries across the country. Athletes competed in 10 men's and 10 women's weight classes with a total of 60 medal sets.
Bac Ninh sports delegation sent 7 athletes and won 6 medals including: 2 golds, 3 silvers, 1 bronze medal (beyond the medal target). Of which, excellent athlete Nguyen Thi Thuy brought the Bac Ninh Sports Delegation 2 gold medals and 1 silver medal; Do Tu Tung won 2 silver medals and 1 bronze medal.
*Wushu in the program of the 9th National Sports Congress ended after 10 days of exciting competition (from December 11 to 20) at the Gymnasium of the Quang Ninh University of Physical Education and Sports.
Bac Ninh sent 8 athletes to participate, setting targets of 1 gold and 1 bronze medal. As a result, Wushu Bac Ninh won 3 medals, of which, 1 gold belonged to athlete Nguyen Thi Ngoc Hien (weight category 60kg); 1 silver medal of athlete Nguyen Thi Giang (52kg class); 1 bronze medal of Nguyen Thi Tuoi (48kg class).
*Badminton ended after 10 days of exciting competition (from December 11 to 20) at Gymnasium in Dong Trieu town, Quang Ninh province.
Bac Ninh sent 4 athletes including: Bui Nam Khanh, Ngo Duc Truong, Nguyen Hoai Nam, Nghiem Duc Anh to participate. As a result, Bac Ninh did not win a medal in badminton.
