Bac Ninh provincial delegation promotes investment and strengthens cooperation in Azerbaijan, Georgia and Türkiye
(BNP) – From October 23 to 31, a provincial delegation led by Ms. Nguyen Huong Giang, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council (PPC) had a working session in Azerbaijan, Georgia and Türkiye to promote investment, strengthen cooperation and exchange as well as share and learn experiences in the fields of socio-economic management, construction of local government apparatus, investment and tourism attraction.

*On October 23-24, PPC’s Chairwoman Nguyen Huong Giang and the provincial delegation met and worked with Mr. Azizov Eldar Aziz oglu, Chairman of the Baku City Government (Azerbaijan), the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBIA) and the Export and Investment Promotion Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (AZPROMO).
Mr. Azizov Eldar Aziz oglu Baku, Chairman of the Baku City Government, welcomed the Bac Ninh delegation to visit and work in Baku, which is Azerbaijan's capital and largest city, as well as the center of research, culture, and industry.
He highly appreciated the two leaders' efforts to foster a partnership between their nations. He recognized Vietnam as a fast-growing and dynamic country, among which Bac Ninh province plays a very important role in Vietnam's development process.
He hoped to promote exchanges in order to establish cooperative relations between the two localities as a foundation for many future cooperation activities, particularly in education and training and tourism. At the same time, he believed that the Bac Ninh delegation's visit would open up opportunities and contribute to promoting cooperation between the two localities.

For her part, PPC’s Chairwoman Nguyen Huong Giang informed about Bac Ninh province’s geographical location, development potential and socio-economic situation in recent times. At the same time, she recognized Azerbaijan and Vietnam's historical friendship. Over the past 65 years, the two countries have continuously consolidated and developed their relationship, becoming close friends and cooperating in a variety of fields.
In the coming time, the Chairwoman hoped that the Baku City government would strengthen activities to provide information, seek out and connect potential partners for businesses in both nations and support Baku businesses to learn and operate smoothly in Bac Ninh and vice versa as well as boost exchanges and training in the fields of science - technology, vocational training (chefs, cuisine, etc.). "Bac Ninh province encourages Baku businesses to learn about investing in the province in the fields of green economic projects, high-tech agriculture, clean agriculture, ecological projects and tourism promotion...", she affirmed.

During the working sessions with KOBIA and AZPROMO, the provincial delegation proposed that the two agencies increase their activities in providing information, searching out and connecting potential partners for businesses in both countries and supporting Baku businesses to learn and operate smoothly in Bac Ninh and vice versa, as well as strengthening trade connections to promote import and export of goods between the two sides.

*On October 29, Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Huong Giang and the working delegation worked with Mr. Zurab Abashidze, Vice Chairman of the Tbilisi City Council (Georgia).
Speaking at the meeting, Chairwoman Nguyen Huong Giang said that Vietnam and Georgia established diplomatic relations in 1992 and have good political relations; however, economic cooperation between the two countries is still modest and not commensurate with their potential.

Tbilisi is well-known as Georgia's capital and largest city, situated at the crossroads of Asia and Europe. The Chairwoman hoped that Tbilisi city would strengthen activities to provide information, seek for and connect potential partners for businesses in both nations and support Tbilisi businesses to learn and operate smoothly in Bac Ninh and vice versa. Bac Ninh province also encourages Tbilisi businesses to learn about investing in the province in the fields of green economic projects, high-tech agriculture, clean agriculture, ecological projects and tourism promotion; strengthens trade connections to promote import and export of goods; introduces and promotes the national image and high-quality Bac Ninh goods brand to consumers and the business community in Tbilisi so that products and goods are well-known and extensively consumed in the two-way market.

Mr. İzzet Alp Gül, Director of Mergers and Acquisitions, GIH Investment Fund welcomed and worked with the Bac Ninh delegation.
GIH is one of the multi-industry investment groups (ports, energy, real estate, finance) with a foundation developed from the fields of securities brokerage and investment banking in Türkiye. Currently, GIH operates mainly in four fields: port infrastructure, energy, real estate and finance.

At the meeting, Chairwoman Nguyen Huong Giang introduced the province's location, potential, and socioeconomic situation, especially the investment attraction and infrastructure of industrial parks. She said that Bac Ninh has approved 24 investment projects to build and develop the infrastructure of industrial parks. Currently, 19 projects have been put into operation and 5 projects are under construction.
Giang hoped that the two sides would study the possibility of investment cooperation in developing logistics zones and dry port systems in Bac Ninh province; free trade zone model and developing infrastructure of industrial parks in Bac Ninh province; investing in the construction of high-end commercial service complexes (commercial centers, entertainment, training services, international healthcare, etc.); projects of infrastructure investment, urban development, ecology, etc.
Mr. İzzet Alp Gül expressed his willingness to invest in Bac Ninh and hoped that the province would provide additional information on investment opportunities, including introductions to potential Vietnamese partners.
At the meeting, the two sides exchanged and discussed the contents and areas of potential and strength, thereby opening up chances for collaboration that both parties are interested in.
