Bac Ninh’s GRDP increased by 6.9%
(BNP) – At the 4th meeting of the Provincial People's Council, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vuong Quoc Tuan presented a report on the socio-economic situation and the operation of the Provincial People's Committee in 2021 as well as socio-economic development plan in 2022.

In the complicated situation of the 4th Covid-19 outbreak, Bac Ninh's economy still grew well, exceeding the set plan, making an important contribution to the development of the country. The province successfully organized the election of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels with a voter turnout rate of 99.07%; a quick response team to support enterprises (the “3 best” quick response team) to promptly remove difficulties and create maximum conditions for businesses.
Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) in 2021 (at 2010 constant price) was estimated to increase 6.9% compared to 2020, ranking 7th in the Red River Delta and 13th in nationwide; industrial production index increased by 9.5%; commodity exports increased by 18.7%; agricultural production achieved high efficiency, production value increased by 3.6%; State budget revenue was estimated at VND 31,110 billion, exceeding 11.7% higher than the annual estimate; among which, domestic revenue was estimated at VND 23,710 billion, exceeding 6.2% of the estimate.
Tu Son was approved by the National Assembly Standing Committee to establish Tu Son city from November 1, 2021.
On the other hand, the province signed an agreement to develop a factory for manufacturing, assembling and testing semiconductor with a total investment of USD 1.6 billion and a memorandum of understanding with a strategic partner of Japan to develop a logistics project in the Yen Phong 2A Industrial Park. The rate of online business registration applications reached 98%, ranking third in the country.
Public Administration Performance Index (PAPI) ranked 4th out of 63 (up 46 ranks); Satisfaction Index of Public Administration Services (SIPAS) ranked 9th out of 63 (up 7 ranks); Public Administration Reform Index (PAR Index) increased by 3.1%, ranked 17th out of 63 (up 1 rank); the provincial digital transformation index (DTI) ranked 3rd out of 63 provinces and cities; the rate of online business registration dossiers reached 97.73%, ranking third in the country.
Social security work is guaranteed, people's lives are improved, the spirit of solidarity, overcoming difficulties and fighting the epidemic is widely spread in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.
In 2022, Bac Ninh province strives to reach some results such as Gross Regional Domestic Production increases by 5-6% compared to 2021; per capita income is VND 77.1 million; urbanization rate is 43%; the poverty rate by the end of 2022 is 1.1% (according to the new standard)...
