Bac Ninh wins 15 medals at National Classic and Freestyle Wrestling Championships 2021

The wrestling team of Bac Ninh province takes souvenir photos at the tournament.

The tournament attracted nearly 200 wrestlers from 19 provinces, cities and industries across the country. Athletes competed in men's and women's weight classes in two categories Freestyle and Classical Wrestling.

Bac Ninh province's wrestling team excellently won 03 Gold medals, 08 Silver medals and 04 Bronze medals and won the second prize of the whole team in Classical Wrestling. Specifically, 03 Gold medals belonged to athletes Ngo Xuan Muoi (Classical wrestling, 50 kg); Nguyen Trong Quang (Classic Wrestling, 55kg) and Tran Thi Anh (Freestyle, 65kg).

This is one of the high-achieving tournaments in the national tournament system, which is held annually to evaluate the training and practice of localities and industries, so as to select athletes to join the national team to participate in regional and international tournaments, especially the upcoming 31st SEA Games hosted by Vietnam.
