National Tennis Championship - Hanaka kicks off
(BNP) – In the morning of December 13th, the Bac Ninh Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Vietnam Tennis Federation jointly held the opening ceremony of the National Tennis Championships - Hanaka Cup 2021 at the Hanaka Paris Ocean Park tennis court complex (Tu Son city, Bac Ninh province).
Chairwoman Nguyen Huong Giang and Permanent Vice Chairwoman Tran Thi Hang present medals to the award sponsors.
Participants at the event were Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Huong Giang; Deputy Director General in charge of the General Department of Physical Training and Sports (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) Tran Duc Phan; Permanent Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council Tran Thi Hang; Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee Nguyen Dinh Loi; former leaders of the province through the periods; leaders of Vietnam Tennis Federation; leaders of departments, agencies and branches of the province and Tu Son city.
The National Tennis Championships - Hanaka Cup 2021 will take place from December 13 to 19, 2021 with the participation of 78 athletes from 11 teams from clubs, sectors and provinces across the country. The athletes will compete in five events namely men’s singles, women’s singles, men’s doubles, women’s doubles, and mixed doubles.
To ensure the health and safety of athletes as well as strictly comply with regulations on disease prevention, it will take place under a closed model, with limited spectators. Members of the delegations are required to have negative test results by RT-PCR method within 72 hours before attending the tournament and three times a day during the period.
On the other hand, the tournament is an opportunity to review the preparation for tennis competitions at the 31st Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games) to be held in May 2022 in Bac Ninh.
Responding to the program "Waves and computers for children" launched by the Prime Minister, the Organizing Committee of the tournament, the Hanaka Group Joint Stock Company, Bac Ninh Young Entrepreneurs Association and Long Phuong Ceramics Joint Stock Company jointly awarded 1,050 tablets and 1,300 phone sim cards to disadvantaged students in the province and 300 tablets to students in Gia Binh district.
On this occasion, the Hanaka Paris Ocean Park tennis court complex (Tu Son city) was recognized by the Vietnam Record Organization as the largest tennis court complex in Vietnam.
